Ed Tangel
Chairman / Founder
In 1975, Ed Tangel and Bill Rogers formed Enercon to provide switchgear and control systems for the worldwide engine-generator set marketplace. They had immediate success in the Middle East which continued their export focus.
With his travels to visit Enercon’s customers all over the world, Ed learned that you must be able to understand and relate to the local cultures and honor their customs. In all relationships, integrity – being whole and complete, trustworthy and candid – is of most importance.
Ed served the country as a 1st Lieutenant in the Corp of Engineers during the Korean War and then moved on to complete his Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering at NYU. Ed has been married to his loving wife, Beatrice, for 64 years, has five children and seventeen grandchildren.
Nick Keever
President
Nick has held multiple roles at Enercon since 1999 and rose to the position of President in 2020. Nick oversaw the quoting, design, manufacturing, and testing of the Prime Power Unit in support of Raytheon's AN/TPY-2 THAAD Radar contract to the Missile Defense Agency. Under Nick’s leadership, Enercon has won numerous program awards for outstanding quality performance.
Shaun Lott
Vice President, Global Sales
After serving for over 24 years in the United States Army, retiring as Lieutenant Colonel, Lott joined Enercon in January 2020 to lead the company’s business development efforts within the defense industry. In 2021, Shaun's leadership responsibilities expanded and he now oversees Enercon’s global sales division which services over 110 countries.
He is a member of the Association of the United States Army, Air Defense Artillery Association, and the Military Officers Association. Shaun is based out of the Enercon's Huntsville, Alabama office.
John Heth
Controller
John Heth is the Controller of Enercon. He came to work for Enercon in August 2013. John attended the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and graduated in 1981 with a B.S. in Accountancy. John passed the CPA examination in 1981. With 38 years of experience in accounting – approximately 16 years in public practice and 22 years in private industry, primarily in manufacturing, John has been a great addition to the Enercon team!
Evan Ruach
Chief Engineer
Evan is currently the Chief Engineer for Enercon Integrated Defense
Solutions. Evan joined the Enercon Family in 1999, and is the mastermind
behind the engineering solution for the Prime Power Unit for the THAAD
Missile Defense weapon system which is deployed worldwide in support of
the US National Defense Strategy.
Paul Madeley
Vice President, Integrated Energy Solutions
Paul has responsibility for our Integrated Energy Solutions business which produces custom switchgear & control systems for the power generation industry.
Paul joined Enercon in 2016 and initially served as the Director of Operations for our Genset Packaging Business. Prior to joining Enercon, Paul held a variety of positions in his 22 years with F.G. Wilson & Caterpillar, where he built deep expertise in Operations, Lean Manufacturing, & Supply Chain. He is a certified Lean & 6 Sigma Master Black Belt.
A native of Northern Ireland, Paul graduated from the Queen’s University of Belfast with a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering.
Jonathan Dippert
Chief Information Officer
Jonathan Dippert is Enercon’s CIO. He’s spent the last 30 plus years combining business management, digital transformation, and IT management. Jonathan has been a company founder in ventures prior to Enercon. In addition, he was CTO of a business strategy firm in Silicon Valley serving growing mid-market companies. He has a degree in Mathematics from the University of Michigan and an Advanced Certificate for Executives from MIT Sloan.

Angie Huntemann
Human Resources Manager
As an HR Generalist with 12 years of experience, she is skilled in managing the employee life cycle from recruiting to retirement. This role requires her to wear many hats, with responsibility for implementing company policies, maintaining regulatory compliance, and reporting, as well as benefits administration, to name just a few.
Angie has held various positions allowing her to gain knowledge about the industry and to reaffirm her passion and strengths that led her to her current role as Human Resources Manager. She began her career with Enercon 20 years ago in the Quality Department and was instrumental in helping Enercon become ISO 9001 Certified.
Commonly referred to as the company Cheer Leader, and "the Cruise Director," her objective is to create a culture that is one big family, all while contributing to the success of the company by achieving company goals.
Marketing, Sales, and Service
John Edburg
Director of Marketing
John has an intense passion for creating and implementing unique marketing strategies that consistently exceed the ROI expectations of all stakeholders. He graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising Design and a Master’s Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Roosevelt University, and has over 20 years of B2B and B2C marketing experience.
Prior to joining Enercon in 2021, John held roles as Senior Vice President of Marketing for Associated Bank in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Vice President of Affiliate Marketing for Fifth Third Bank, Chicago.
Andrew Geiger
Marketing Coordinator
Andrew loves everything photography and design. He’s excited for every opportunity to create something new and meaningful.
Before joining Enercon in 2022, Andrew worked as the marketing manager for one of Peoria’s top real estate companies. His previous experience also includes graphic design and marketing for the Olivet Nazarene University Engineering department.
Andrew graduated from Olivet Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in graphic design and photography. In his free time, he enjoys taking portraits, reading, and video games.
James Kerschinske
Sales & Business Development Manager
James is the Sales and Business Development Manager for Enercon. He joined the company in January of 2023. James graduated from Iowa State University in 1987 with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and started working at Caterpillar.
Prior to joining Enercon, he has spent the majority of his career with Cat and Cat Dealers in the power generation market, managing sales and engineering teams and developing customer solutions. At Enercon, he is driving the growth of our sales and application engineering teams. James enjoys spending free time with his family and trying to improve his golf game.
Dave Kimmey
Midwest & North East
Regional Sales Manager
Dave Kimmey is an experienced Regional Sales Manager, Applications Engineer, SalesForce Administrator, and Design Engineer.
Driven by partnering with his customers, he takes pride in providing the best results possible. As a Regional Sales Manager, his goals include teamwork, offering a solution with options, and providing the best communications possible.
In addition to his primary job functions, Dave has been recognized by being a Certified Salesforce Administrator for his extraordinary expertise in Salesforce.
Stephen Conrad
Sr. Applications Engineer
Originally from Springfield, IL, Steve attended DeVry Technical in Chicago 1966 and 1967. After college, he went to work for a generator controls company in 1972. In 1977, he moved to Louisville, KY to work for a Caterpillar Dealer.
In 1981, he moved back to Illinois to start working for Enercon where he started as a testing technician, then then moved to field service and commissioning. Currently, he works as Enercon’s Senior Applications Engineer.
While working for Enercon, Steve has traveled to 47 countries worldwide!
Sam Knowlton
Technical Quoter
Sam has broad experience working for relatively small businesses and organizations, ranging from an aerospace/defense services provider, to a C.P.A. firm and a software development company serving global banks.
He is a fan of most sports and like to play racquet sports (like tennis and racquet ball), hike, and do other outdoor activities.
Robert Stern
Applications Manager
Robert Stern is a career professional with 24 years of experience in contract manufacturing for consumer and commercial products, focusing on sales/marketing in addition to roles managing NPI, product development, manufacturing, and quality improvement.
His extensive knowledge of computer and electronic hardware and a passion for being hands-on throughout the process chain is an asset to his clients. Past roles include Product Development and Sales for the US Based/China MFG – consumer electronics firms, National Accounts Sales Manager/Business Development for MSI Computer, and Director of Operations for KL Fenix.
Robert is currently one of Enercon’s Qualified Manufactures Technical Representative for UL508A, and is UL891 MTR certified.
Kathy Anderson
Product Support Manager
Kathy Anderson is the Product Support Manager at Enercon. She is dedicated to supporting both Enercon’s internal and external customers.
Kathy started her career at Enercon in the 1980s, worked at East Peoria Caterpillar in the 1990s, and came full circle back to join the Enercon team.
In her free time, you can find her enjoying family, reading a detective or spy novel, or VR gaming.
McKenzie Trout
Product Support Representative
McKenzie Trout is the Product Support Representative at Enercon Engineering, where she manages Enercon’s part sales and service projects.
During her time at Enercon, she has been recognized for her dedication and motivation.
Prior to Enercon, McKenzie was a caregiver at Snyder Village, where she helped to assist with basic needs, assess medical needs, monitor medications, and provide housekeeping.
She attended Illinois Central College and currently lives in Peoria.
